Sean Delehant, LCPC, CP began work in the counseling field with Four Winds Hospital in New York in 1988. Here he began his psychodrama training with Peter Pitzele and Judy Swallow, then went on to accept a psychodrama internship position at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington DC. He earned his graduate degree in Clinical and Community Psychology and is a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and Washington, D.C. In addition, Sean is certified in psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy. He is also an international trainer and educator on the topic of adjustment concerns for foster and adoptive families. Sean completed supervisory level training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a systematic treatment approach, grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy, for traumatized children and their families. TF-CBT sessions provide a comprehensive framework for assessing post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and other symptoms, developing a flexible, individualized treatment plan, and working collaboratively with children and parents to build core skills in such areas as affect regulation and safety. He is also a Love and Logic Parent Workshop facilitator.
