Karen has been practicing psychodrama since 1992-93 when she was an intern at St. Elizabeth?s hospital. She was certified as a Psychodrama Practitioner in 1994. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology/Virginia in 2000. She is a Licensed Psychologist, and a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy.
Karen has a private psychotherapy practice in Boulder, CO. She is adjunct faculty at Naropa University, in the Graduate School of Psychology where she is putting her psychodramatic skills and spontaneity to the test regularly. She works with attorneys in the Denver metro area using psychodramatic methods to support attorneys and their clients prepare for trials and depositions. She is a trainer in the Therapeutic Spiral Model, an experiential model for working with trauma, and has traveled nationally and internationally with Therapeutic Spiral teams.
Karen has an ongoing monthly psychodrama training group in Boulder and Ft. Collins, CO, and she is loving the creativity of the groups! New trainees will be accepted in Fall, 2019. Please contact me if you are interested.
