Private Practice

While people sometimes feel in crisis when initially contacting a therapist, it is also a time of courageous opportunity to mobilize for successful results. I enjoy facilitating this dynamic, healing process. After 25 years of experience in private practice, I am particularly effective with highly verbal individuals who don't want their words to interfere with finding solutions for improving their lives.

My work in Psychodrama began in 1975 as an intern and then as Staff Trainer for 10 years at Saint Elizabeth?s Hospital. As a Practitioner, I integrate psychodrama methodology into individual work with a wide diversity of people as well as students seeking supervision As a Trainer, I design and conduct workshops for mental health professionals, law enforcement and in the corporate work setting. I have also consulted for various university counseling centers and for the DC Rape Crisis Center. Other areas of expertise include critical incident debriefing in trauma work and working with Deaf individuals. My work has been published in the Journal of Group Psychotherapy, Psychodrama and Sociomety as well as in Washington Parent.
