BIO

Natalie L. Winters, Ed.D, TEP, CT.Hyp., is a NJ and NC-licensed psychologist, wife, mother and grandmother. She received her doctorate in psychology from Rutgers University. Dr. Winters is a certified hypnotherapist and a former adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She has been in individual and group practice for more than 35 years.

A nationally certified psychodramatist TEP (Trainer, Educator, Practitioner), Dr. Winters conducts treatment and training groups in psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy in several states and an on-going group bi-monthly group in Cary, NC.

Dr. Winters is a Fellow of the ASGPP. She is the recipient of the ASGPP 2003 Innovator's award for the development of psychospiritual psychodrama, the recipient of the 2007 Hannah B. Weiner Professional Service award and the recipient of ASGPP 2010 Life-time achievement award. Dr. Winter's article on The Psychospiritual in Psychodrama; the fourth role category,appeared in the International Journal of Action Methods: Psychodrama, Skill Training and Role Playing. Her most recent article "On a Theory of Child Development: how the then informs the now."

She has been featured on Public Radio and is former host of her own cable television show, "Psychology in Action." She was a featured columnist in a local N.J. Newspaper for several years before moving to Florida.

Dr. Winters was nominated for the Tampa Bay Research Institute 2003 Humanitarian award and is a recipient of Women-N-Tune: Pathways of Hope Award.

Presently, she and her husband live in Cary, NC where she has a limited private practice and conducts and on-going bi-monthly training group in psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy.

In addition to her work in the field of psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy, Dr. Winters is also a professional artist, song writer, playwright and motivational speaker.
