Rosana Zapata is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Addictions Professional, a Certified Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry & Group Psychotherapy, and is a Practitioner Applicant for the Trainer Process. She has been practicing as a therapeutic clinician for over 20 years and has extensive experience: treating behavioral problems with children and adolescents; empowering adults to have happier, more productive lives; and teaching families to have increased communication skills and connectedness.
Rosana developed an Adolescent Substance Abuse Program at a local agency in Florida, where she served as the Program Director for several years and where she continues to facilitate groups for the adolescents. Rosana provides Individual/Family and Group Counseling to individuals who are at risk for and/or are using alcohol and/or other substances. She provides counseling and education in a milieu of settings and has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic, psychoeducational and psychodramatic groups for children/adolescents and adults.
Rosana completed 5 years of therapeutic practice in Italy after living and working in Germany for over 2 years. While in Europe she was teaching and providing therapeutic support to adolescents and their families, so they could establish healthy coping skills for dealing with the many transitional challenges of being military service members and military dependents.
Rosana facilitates psychodrama groups for her own clients and for those of Treatment Centers. She specializes in the treatment of individuals dealing with mental illness and addictive disorders. She is committed to providing mental health wellness interventions and of breaking the cycle of addiction in families through education, counseling, and recovery. Rosana continues to live in gratitude for the honor and privilege it is to work with others in the healing capacity.
