Private Practice

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Registered Nurse and CP of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. I have maintained a private practice as a psychotherapist in Albuquerque, NM, for 10 years. I am also a faculty member of Southwestern College, a graduate school for Counseling and Art Therapy and a collaborator with Living Waters Institute in Santa Fe, NM.
I have had the honor to serve as a director on the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy.

My professional life encompasses a varied and broad range of experiences, devoting many years to working in a variety of Critical Care clinical settings as a staff nurse, in nursing management and as a psychiatric nurse. Moving out of the clinical setting, I worked in the medical device industry for a number of years, followed by engaging in the distinct adventure of owning and operating a bed and breakfast in Taos, NM for eight years.

One of life's challenging transitions guided me to graduate school in counseling and therapy where the gift of psychodrama awaited. As a student in graduate school, I was extremely fortunate to be introduced to psychodrama by Kate Cook, LPCC, T.E.P.

Psychodrama makes this world a better place and my passion is to create many opportunities for people from all walks of life to experience the power of this method. In addition to using Psychodrama and Action Methods in my private practice and in teaching graduate students, I have been facilitating workshops providing psychodrama, sociodrama and experiential approaches to the community since 2007 and offer continuing education hours to licensed counselors, social workers and nurses. I have presented in local and state level programs as well as national ASGPP conferences.

While I work with a variety of client populations, I have a specific interest in trauma, loss and grief. I am a dedicated student not only of psychodrama but also of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB) and have integrated IPNB into my psychodramatic work. I find the two are complementary of one another and together provide a very effective pathway for healing.
