Karen Early Burton is a retired psychology and communications college instructor. In the past 25+ years she has taught for Los Angeles Unified School District, San Antonio Community College, Glendale Community College, Valley Community College, and other postsecondary institutions. She has also been a published writer for various newspapers and magazines.
She has completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education and has served as a chaplain for almost two years at Loma Linda Hospital. Karen specializes in providing training for a variety of collegiate campuses, business organizations, hospital staff, non-profit agencies, community and mental health settings.
She particularly enjoys hosting residential retreats, as well as integrating bibliodrama at youth camps, weekend conferences, and church groups. Karen and her husband lead the visitation team at their church and volunteer for a variety of community outreaches. Between the two of them, they have four adult children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
