I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in Taiwan. I am also a certified practitioner of Psychodrama and a certified team leader in the Therapeutic Spiral Model™ of psychodrama. My first encounter with psychodrama was in 2005, when I participated in a psychodrama workshop led by Dr. Kate Hudgins. I was fascinated by psychodrama. It has greatly enriched my life. I am happy to become a CP in 2016. Looking back, it’s a wonderful journey. I learned how to be myself, love myself and trust myself. I get much healing from psychodrama, so I apply the psychodrama to my work.
I work in the prison. Most of my clients are sexual offenders and drug abusers. They are difficult clients. Because psychodrama is an action method which engages the body as well as the mind, it often brings into consciousness things of which clients have long been unaware. “The body remembers what the mind forgets.” Psychodrama is very helpful for individuals who tend to intellectualize and to be disconnected from their emotions; the method facilitates their dropping into their feelings so that they begin to heal on a new and deeper level. I use action methods to reduce their defenses and help them face themselves. I help them get some healing through action based experiential methods.
One of my goals in working with students and clients is to help them access the resources within themselves and in the world around them so that they can find balance and satisfaction and have the lives they want. I am honored to become a part of this community and be able to help those in their exploration of healing through spontaneity and creativity.
