My approach to therapy is strength-based, focused, humanistic and highly individualized. I work to establish mutually agreed upon wellness and recovery goals. Treatment in this supportive, encouraging environment builds upon the client's creativity and helps them to discover internal and external coping resources. I have found my gentle but firm approach to be highly successful in working with depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety, stress, and adjustment difficulties. I have over thirty years of professional experience working with individuals, couples and groups. Supervision of inpatient staff has provided me with skills in managing mental health systems and helping families cope with the challanges of mental illness. My belief in mutual support has lead me to design, implement, and facilitate
a numberr of family support groups for a variety of mental health agencies.

I truly enjoy supervision and training and look to incorporate action and creativity in both of these endeavors. I am certifiied to provide supervision to Licensed Clinical Social Workers. I currently colead psychodrama and group work training experiences and I am teaching group work practice at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. I am cofounder, with Scottie Urmey LCSW, CP, of Psychodrama NJ, which provides psychodrama training experiences to a wide variety of agencies and programs.
