Kate Cook , M.A., LPCC, TEP

Kate Cook, LPCC, TEP, lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she practices as a therapist, educator and consultant. Since 1986, Kate has been facilitating groupwork and psychodrama in a wide variety of venues. For many years, she created and directed experiential groups for juvenile and adult offenders in the Santa Fe County Detention Center. She has been a consultant for organizations including the Santa Fe Youth Shelters, Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department and Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority. Kate earned her national certification as a trainer in Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama in 1994, and has since provided training and consultation locally and nationally. Kate has also been a core faculty member of Southwestern College, a graduate program in Counseling and Art Therapy, since 1990. She is the founder- director of their CEU/certificate program in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Somatics and Action Methods, and formerly, the certificate program Psychodrama and Action Methods . In recent years, Kate has worked as a psychodramatist for the Spence Trial Lawyers College and has used psychodrama in training physicians in Portland, OR. Kate spends her spare time adventuring outdoors.
