Georgia A. Rigg, LCSW, T.E.P., has been a member of the social work field for over forty years, as a practitioner, educator, trainer and program development specialist. She began psychodrama training with the late Leon J. Fine, Ph.D., in l974, and studied with him until his death in l994. She completed her credentials in psychodrama with John R. Mosher, MA, T.E.P., and has incorporated his Healing Circle Model into her work. She trained in psychomotor therapy with the originators of the process, Al and Diane Pesso. The American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama selected Georgia as the recipient of the 2008 Innovator's Award, for her work in blending psychomotor therapy and psychodrama. For the past twenty years, Georgia has specialized in developing treatment processes for adult survivors of abuse and trauma of all kinds. She is the director of Between Prairie and Sky Psychodrama Institute, now located in Colorado. She enjoys "riding the circuit", and will travel to locations interested in training in the treatment of trauma, and the use of her blended model of psychodrama and psychomotor therapy. Georgia is devoted to creating a workshop and training format which honors the intrinsic worth and dignity of the individual, and one which creates a group climate of warmth, humor, safety and inclusion. She takes particular satisfaction from creating workshops and training programs that meet the needs of different groups and organizations. Her new website is in production.
